The European Tour needed to strengthen its connection with fans by creating a modern, real-time digital experience that put them closer to the players and every shot that matters. The ambition was to deliver a seamless cross-platform ecosystem that could support live scoring, player tracking, content and storytelling across web and mobile.

Fan engagement was declining, and the brand was beginning to feel outdated. While broadcast remained a key touchpoint, the wider digital experience lacked cohesion. The website and app operated in silos, making it difficult to deliver a consistent journey, and a legacy CMS limited the team’s ability to publish timely, relevant content that could keep pace with the live nature of the sport.

A unified digital experience was created across web and app, underpinned by a flexible design system and a scalable content platform. Fans could seamlessly follow their favourite players across devices, access live scores and contextual statistics throughout each tournament, and receive personalised notifications so they never missed a key moment. Real-time content publishing and richer player storytelling brought fans closer to the action, creating a more engaging and connected experience that strengthened the relationship between the Tour, its players, and its audience.
